Mero Dance Cup U.S.A. is one of the yearly community programs of AZ Studio. It is popularly known as MDC. After resettlement of the Bhutanese/Nepalese people into different countries and in different states of the United States of America, it is felt that their cultural talents are nipped due to having no appropriate forum to co-ordinate. Though there were some sporadic participations of the aspirants in the local community organizational level but participating and competing in the community people outside their state of residence was a far cry. There is a concern that if the talent in this generation of the community is not encouraged, it shall be done away with for generations to come. There is a need for a common platform and an active initiative to create an atmosphere for encouragement, skill development, develop competitive environment, learn and reinforce new skills for improvement, talents tapping, broadcast in the media and reward the talented.
